The "Safety Requirements for Nuclear Power Plants" contain room for interpretaion, which may lead to difficulties in application. To limit the scope of interpretations and thus to allow for a uniform implementation of safety requirements, the explanatory and concretizing interpretation of the "Safety Requirements for Nuclear Power Plants" were developed.
A revised version of the interpretations of the Safety Requirements for NPPs has been available since 03.03.2015. The amendment was published on 30.03.2015 in the Federal Gazette.
